SnapOnDave wrote:  I consider my wife and I beginners so the 66 mile will be the longest ride so far. Last weekend we rode 38 miles in the beautiful Red Rock Canyon here in Las Vegas. Today we rode the grueling (for us) River Mountain Trail in Lake Mead that has 2600 ft elevation gain. We are almost ready for the SDC challenge. See you on the 1st!

Santiago wrote:  Alpine Challenge, 50 miles uphill 4800 ft.

Rico wrote: I rode and finished the metric century fun ride by Sikad ng Bayan ( Pedaling for the Nation) which started and ended at Yorba Regional Park yesterday 20APR2013. It was a fun ride benefitting the housing program for the poor in the Philippines. Great SAG, great route and outstanding post ride lunch right there at the park! Felt great after the 5-hour bike trek.

Matt wrote:  Rode the Bosque Trail, a 30 mile stretch of paved trail that parallels the Rio Grande river in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Flat profile and a 16 mph pace but my first ride in over 6 weeks since having pneumonia.  Very far off the training schedule but I am determined to ride in San Diego!!!

Bulent wrote: I completed an 80 mile ride yesterday, started in PQ, climbed the three witches, all the way to Lakeside, climbed 52 and looped back to where we started. I kept repeating ‘Shut up legs!’

Pamela wrote:  Today I rode from Ocean Beach to Oceanside and back putting in my 70 training mileage for this week! Didn’t  do too bad on the Torrey Pines climb so I’m feeling more and more ready for the SD Century! Woot!

Ray wrote: I’ve been riding with the Trek Training Group and what a GREAT  bunch to ride with. We did the tour de Von’s route 80 miles and 5100′ of climbing. We maintained 15.3 avg. from Westview H. S.  N. County to Mission Valley, down HWY 67 to lakeside and out to the coast  and down Torrey Pines returning across the 56 bike path. The best part of riding with a group is everyone looking out for each other and friends made!
