FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

The San Diego County Bicycle Coalition is official charity for the San Diego Century Bicycle Tour

Event Media, Inc. partners again with the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition (SDCBC) for the fifth annual San Diego Century Bicycle Tour on May 21, 2011.  Proceeds from the ride will help to support SDCBC, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to making bicycling better in greater San Diego.

SDCBC works to make bicycling better through educational programs, promoting awareness of bicyclists and bicycling issues, reviewing infrastructure improvements, and acting as a voice for bicyclists to elected officials and decision makers throughout the San Diego region.

The San Diego Century Bicycle Tour is a cycling tour with a choice of 37, 66 or 103-mile rides starting and finishing with food, fun and music at MiraCosta College in Cardiff, California on Saturday, May 21.  The scenic cycling courses include moderate to challenging hill climbs and San Diego’s North County beaches of Encinitas and Solana Beach.

“We’re delighted to continue with the success of the San Diego Century Bicycle Tour and be part of the event again in 2011,” said Kathy Keehan, Executive Director of SDCBC.

“We are excited to work again with SDCBC and to help promote bicycle education and safety in the region and within the great group of riders in our events” commented ride organizer Jim Curl.

Event Media, Inc. also produced the successful and inaugural “Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast” in November (www.Bike-The-Coast.com) and provides course management for the very popular “Gran Fondo Colnago San Diego” tour in early spring (www.GranFondoSanDiego.com).
