PRIVACY POLICY

Your privacy and security are important to Event Media, Inc. (Including Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast, bike-the-coast.com, the San Diego Century, sdcentury.com, Jake’s Offroad Triathlon, jakesoffroadtri.com) (“Event Media”). This privacy statement demonstrates our firm commitment to privacy. This privacy statement discloses the information we gather and how we use it. Capture and Use of Information
Our websites automatically recognize the consumer’s IP address, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, user-specific information on what pages consumers access or visit and information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information, site registrations for comments, and subscribing to email lists.

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page, used to customize the content and/or layout of our page for each individual visitor, used to notify consumers about updates to our Web site and used by us to contact consumers for marketing purposes. We may also use your IP address to administer our web sites, and to help diagnose problems with our servers.

Our websites contain links to other web sites. Event Media is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites.

If you participate in an Event Media promotion or subscribe to our event email lists (also “member lists”), you will be asked to provide basic information including name, email address and other demographic information. We do not share your email address and personal information with other parties. Your contact information will be used for communications related to the email lists to which you subscribed. We may provide you with promotional offers from our partners. You may unsubscribe from our email subscriptions at any time.

If you register for an Event Media event, you will be asked to provide information on event registration forms. Your contact information may also be used to contact you when necessary for customer service reasons. Financial information that is collected is used only to bill you for products and services that you specifically request. Your contact information may also be used to provide you with important event updates, to deliver event photography and completion timing information where applicable.

Active.com, Woocommerce and Paypal are partners in the registration process for Event Media events.  We use systems that hold the same high standard in insuring the integrity of our users’ security and privacy. Please refer to The Active Network’s Privacy Statement for details.

With respect to cookies: We use cookies to store visitors preferences, record session information, such as items that consumers add to their shopping cart, record user-specific information on what pages users access or visit, alert visitors to new areas that we think might be of interest to them when they return to our site, record past activity at a site in order to provide better service when visitors return to our site , ensure that visitors are not repeatedly sent the same banner ads, customize Web page content based on visitors’ browser type or other information that the visitor sends.

Upon request we provide site visitors with access to contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number) that we maintain about them. Consumers can access this information by writing to us at the address below. Upon request we offer visitors the ability to have inaccuracies corrected in contact information.

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our website to notify you of these changes and we will use for these new purposes only data collected from the time of the policy change forward. Our email communications provide the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from Event Media.

If you do not want to receive e-mail from us in the future, please let us know by writing to us at the address below.

If you supply us with your postal address on-line you may receive periodic mailings from us with information on new products and services or upcoming events. If you do not wish to receive such mailings, please let us know by writing to us at the address below. Please provide us with your exact name and address. We will be sure your name is removed from our mailing lists.

Security
Event Media has established and maintains reasonable security procedures to protect the confidentiality, security and integrity of your personally identifiable information. We use a variety of industry-standard security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. For example, credit card numbers are encrypted in a secure database, which is located behind a firewall. Personal information collected is stored in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public. All credit card and registration information supplied by users is transmitted and stored with industry-standard security measures with Active.com and Paypal.com.

“Perfect security,” however, does not exist on the Internet. Although your privacy is very important to us, due to the existing legal regulatory and security environment, we cannot fully ensure that your private communications and other personally identifiable information will not be disclosed to third parties. For example, Event Media will disclose personal information about an individual user if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to comply with an applicable law or valid legal process.

TERMS OF USE AND CANCELLATION

Join us June 3, 2017 for the 11th Annual San Diego Century Bicycle Tour, and enjoy beautiful scenery in North County San Diego’s Premiere Cycling Event.
THREE DISTANCES – 33-mile ride around Lake Hodges or a 67-mile ride that continues up to Poway, or a 105-mile ride that follows the first two and then climbs up past Mt. Woodson to Ramona. The rides all have hills and require good fitness and bike handling.
START AND FINISH at MiraCosta College in Encinitas. Aid stations and signs throughout – rider gifts and lunch at the finish.

Event details and schedule
Limit: SDC is limited to 1,500 riders.

Online Registration Closes: May 29, 2017 at 11:59PM Pacific Time or when sold out at 1,500.

Cancellation Policy: Entry fees are nonrefundable and entries are nontransferable.

Waivers & Emergency Contacts: All riders are required to sign a release of liability waiver for the event and the county, and provide emergency contacts and phone numbers for event day support personnel.   

San Diego Century Website: Go to www.SDCentury.com for all pertinent information, including maps, elevations, rules, benefits, schedules, directions, souvenirs, clothing etc.
Start AND Finish at MiraCosta College: START & FINISH is at MiraCosta College. Take I-5 N/S, exit Manchester Ave and go east approximately 1 mile to MiraCosta College. There is parking for over 800 cars at MCC and at adjacent sites. Finishers Awards will be given at MCC. Post-event food,drink and lunch will be also available at MCC.
Friday Packet Pick-Up and Late Registration: Packet pick-up for registered riders and late registration (if numbers are available) is between noon and 7:00pm on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Revolution Bike Shop, 235 S. Coast Hwy 101, Solana Beach 92075. The shop is on the west side of 101 south of Lomas Santa Fe (take Lomas Santa Fe exit off I-5 go west to 101 and turn south).
Event Day Packet Pick-up and Late Registration: Event Day packet pick-up for registered riders and “Day Of” registration (if numbers are available) is between 6:00am & 8:00am on Saturday June 3, 2017 at MiraCosta College, 3333 Manchester Ave., Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA 92007 (in Encinitas, California).
Registered Riders Receive: SDC premiums, well-stocked SAG stops every 15-20 miles, individual course bracelet, very well-marked courses, mobile SAGs with mechanical support, shuttle to MCC for DNF, route slips (cue sheets), finishers’ medal, lunch and Finish Party at MCC.
Clothing & Souvenirs: Men’s and Women’s jerseys sizing available.Only jersey orders placed before April 1, 2017 will be guaranteed ride day availability. All pre-ordered and paid-for clothing and merchandise must be picked up on Friday at Revolution Bike Shop before 7:00pm or on Saturday at MCC before 5:00pm. Clothing not picked up will require an additional $8.00 postage/handling fee. Some clothing will be available for sale on Friday and Saturday.
