Official Training Programs Start January 17

San Diego Century

San Diego Century Official Training programs, developed with Coach John Howard, start on January 17th.


San Diego Century members receive the Official Training program mileage on Monday or Tuesday of each week, along with member discount codes for our best registration deals.

Each week, we will have suggested mileage so that you can prepare for 37, 66 or 103 miles at the San Diego Century on May 19.  The training mileage was developed with legendary coach and cyclist John Howard.


Are you looking for even more in 2012, with individualized coaching and performance fit analysis for you and your bike?  All members will also receive exclusive discounts for custom training plans, coaching services and PowerFITTE analysis from John Howard Performance Sports.


Stay tuned for group rides starting in February.  There’s no better way to help meet your cycling goals than to get in on the Trek Bicycle Superstore Group Rides every Saturday leading up to the San Diego Century.  The rides are supported by volunteer ride guides with groups for just about any level of cyclist.  Whether you’re thinking about your first ride over 50 miles, or you’ve got many century rides under your belt you’ll find a group at these rides.  With 100 – 200 riders each weekend and 4-5 groups organized by average speed, you can start with the 10-12 mph group, or test yourself in the group that will average around 20 mph.
