How to Win a Bike Jersey on 3/16

2012 Bike Jersey - San Diego Century

We figure that somewhere along the climbs of the San Diego Century bike ride routes (including the 3 Witches Climb and the Purple Monster Climb) there must be some four-leaf clovers.  With great scenery and that pot of gold in mind, this week’s jersey giveaway question is all about your inner leprechaun.

If you haven’t participated yet, we will be giving away San Diego Century bike jerseys this week (and every week until 5/19) with some fun website contest questions.  We gave away one jersey over the weekend, so there will be one winner on Friday from those who participate this week.  The winner will receive a free 2012 San Diego Century bike jersey.

Whether or not you want to participate, be sure to check out our 2012 merchandise, including the jersey, t-shirts and caps.

This week’s question is “What is your riding plan for St. Patrick’s Day?”  Especially if you have an event and some green beverages lined up, share it with your fellow riders!  Post a comment below with your answer to get in on the Jersey contest.

Need a suggestion on how to record your rides with your phone, or draw a map of your ride route online?  Here’s a list of online services where you can start for free and upload ride tracks from your phone, import your Garmin files (or Polar, Timex, etc) or draw your route.

This saturday will be a lovely ride on the Silver Strand to Coronado, pending the weather. Either way got to get that ride in before the corned beef and hash and green beers. Have a wonderful weekend all.

Since the weather may be a bit dicey this weekend I plan on staying close to home and tackling a short loop from UTC, down and back up Torrey Pines and back home before heading to the San Diego Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in Balboa Park at noon to enjoy some ice cold Guinness!

I plan on riding in the Bulldog Bike Race (40K) aboard Camp Pendleton. I’ll take it nice and easy though as my first Olympic distance triathlon is on Sunday! I’ll have to postpone the usual St. Patrick’s Day food a day!

March 17th is my birthday (I’ll be 54) – so my wife has plans to take me out to dinner and a movie. Maybe I’ll even get lucky enough to get out of chores and get a good ride in.

The weather has just gotten beautiful here in Central Virginia – so I’m hoping to get a quick 1/2 or 1 hour ride from my house. Then back home to go out.

The trees are in bloom for spring here. The bradford pears out in front of the office look like snowcones. The green will be such a nice change after our winter.

Well, this past weekend was very much the challenge for my husband & I as we rode tandem in the Solvang ride. We came home and I said, ” My Multiple Sclerosis doesn’t have me yet…let’s get some more training in this weekend and Isign up for the San Diego Century ” ! So here we go again for some more great riding this weekend and sipping a cold one afterwards!
