San Diego Century Bicycle Tour, May 19, 2012 Encinitas CA
The Taste the Hills Festival will include tasty local cuisine (food tickets will be provided to all riders, and additional food can be purchased from the vendors), live music and a sports expo. Stay tuned for event updates as the details of the Festival are finalized.
To Get To Encinitas and the MiraCosta College Start/Finish
From the South - North on I-5 (approx. 25 miles north of San Diego Airport), exit on Manchester Ave. (two exits past Del Mar Race Track), turn east (left) on Manchester Ave., go ½ mile to MiraCosta College Ave.(3333 Manchester Ave, Cardiff-By-The-Sea CA, 92007) Turn left into MiraCosta College parking lot. Start and Finish are from the lot.
From the North – Take I-5 south to Manchester Ave. (three exits past Encinitas Blvd.). Follow instructions above.
From the East – Take I-8 or CA-78 west to I-5. Go North or South as above.
From the West – Nearest marina is in Oceanside. Tie up, take I-5 south.
Evet Day Parking at MiraCosta College (MCC)
There is ample free parking at MiraCosta College on ride day if you arrive early (before 7:00am). Overflow Parking will be at sites on El Camino Real (1/2 mile past MCC – Manchester Ave. turns into El Camino Real ) ) – look for “SDC – OVERFLOW PARKING” signs. Best strategy – get there EARLY!!!
